Four short weeks ago, Kevin started complaining about hearing loss in one of his ears. After subsequent tests and scans, the doctors detected multiple tumors in Kevin's brain.

Unfortunately, the diagnosis is not good. Kevin has stage-4 glioblastoma. These are malignant and very aggressive tumors that Kevin and his family plan to fight with all their energy, but sadly the condition is terminal.

The events that have recently transpired for Kevin and his family have gone from shockingly bad to traumatically worse in a very short amount of time.  I will spare you the day-to-day details of Kevin's chemotherapy, radiation treatments and myriad medications, however, the challenges now posed to Kevin and his family cannot be understated.

Kevin is 49 years old, and he and his wife, Jennifer Pittman-Gibbons, have two beautiful sons, Phineas, age 7, and Beckett age 9. Kevin and Jenn have been together for 18 years and married for 11 years.

While Kevin has been in real estate sales for more than 15 years, Jennifer gave up a career in media to start a family. Once the boys started school full time, she began pursuing her dream of becoming certified nutritionist. She is one semester away from graduating.

This devastating news requires them to make some very quick decisions (financial and future logistics for the boys). They had recently bought a new home only four months ago that they are now putting on the market and will be listed for sale this week. The family will be moving back to the East Coast to minimize overhead and to be closer to loved ones during this challenging time.

We are asking your help in raising as much money as we can to assist this family with the following:

Temporary carrying cost of home, which will be on the market for sale by the end of this week;
Cost to move family from California to Massachusetts;
Cost of medical expenses not covered by insurance - including experimental and clinical trials;
Care/College Fund for his two sons (this is a gift to Kevin we hope can happen with any excess money raised).
As you can imagine, Kevin is less worried about himself than he is about his young family. If we put ourselves in this young father shoes, you can only imagine the fear and distress affecting this young family.

PLEASE DONATE what you can!

Thank you in advance for your support!

Please also push this on your social media sites and RE-POST it as best you can!!!  We need to get this message out!!

UPDATE - 10/26/18 - Kevin has started the treatment for recently diagnosed brain cancer.   We know the tumors are aggressive.  Kevin has undergone about 2 weeks of chemo and radiation treatments.   Kevin seems to be responding well to treatment.   He is well but has stopped using cell phone and is not reading well at this time so no computer or email either.  We are working to get him into clinical trials at UCSF through contacts with Duke University which has a special and world leading program in regards to his condition.

As friends and family of this beloved family, we wanted to show our support by setting up this page to help them offset the massive medical expenses, combined with the loss of income, that they are facing. Please consider supporting Kevin, Jenn, Phinneas and Beckett with a financial gift so that they can keep their focus on treatment, recovery and family time. Let's show the Gibbons/Pitman family the strength of their community!  Thank you!!!
