Bring Meadow Home
Donation protected
On February 24,
2013, our sweet Meadow Grace was born. Unlike most families our situation was
different. Meadow was born at a time of extreme lows in the lives of her
parents and so she was immediately placed into foster care. Without any
notification to her father's (my brother) side of the family, she became a part
of the system and, because of circumstances out of our control, we became
helpless. We had no way of retrieving any information about Meadow's whereabouts
except for updates on the situation from her father. Our fight had started,
only we had no idea what lay ahead; a few months later on July 30, 2013 her
father was killed. Our hearts were again broken and the longing for Meadow to
be in our lives grew even stronger. In addition to Meadow, her father left
behind Rhiannon, who is blessed with a loving mother and stepdad. Meadow was not so fortunate and she remained
in foster care. Meadow is now 10 months old, has special needs, and we have
never gotten to hold her. We are lucky to get pictures of her from her other
grandparents who are permitted to see her, because Child Services has formally
recognized them as grandparents. We have big love for this precious baby! We are engaged in a custody/adoption battle to
bring her home so that we can love her and raise her. If you have ever tried to
gain custody of a child, you know how expensive it can be. So far, we have paid
about half of the anticipated costs for our attorney. Can you help us? We truly desire nothing more than to bring Meadow home so
that we can raise her as my I know my brother would have wanted us to do. We
never know what God has in store for us, but we have prayed about our decision
to adopt Meadow, consulted with a Christian adoption group, and we know it is
the right thing to do. We have completed our home study and are approved for
placement. The only thing left to do is to get Meadow.
