Help Bring Rom Home: Supporting His Recovery After a Tragic Accident
A wonderful woman in our church, Debbie, is facing an incredibly difficult time. Last month, her husband, Rom, a truck driver, suffered a devastating accident. While preparing his tanker truck for delivery, he fell 12 feet, resulting in severe injuries, most critically a traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Rom spent weeks in a coma, and while he has regained partial consciousness, it's clear he will require ongoing support for the rest of his life. At 69 years old, Rom now faces a long and challenging road to recovery.
Currently, Rom is at an Acute Rehabilitation Hospital, working hard with three types of therapy six days a week. He will then transition to a Skilled Nursing Facility to continue his rehabilitation, with the ultimate goal of returning home. We don't yet know how long this journey will take.
I've known Debbie for many years (and I am 83 years old). She is one of the most giving people I've ever known, and now she desperately needs our support.
Debbie deeply appreciates your prayers for Rom, herself, and their family. She also faces significant financial burdens due to Rom's ongoing care.
This fundraiser aims to provide the financial support Rom needs to stay in the Skilled Nursing Facility until he is ready to come home. Any additional funds raised will be crucial in providing the necessary care and support he will need to thrive at home.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference in Rom's recovery and provide much-needed relief for Debbie and her family. They are incredibly grateful for any support you can offer. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
