Help Dolly get better

We are fundraising for our lovely 2 yo German Shorthair Pointer Dolly who is in desperate need of your love. Our baby is struggling terribly and doctors are stymied by her progression and symptoms.

 

On December 6th Dolly had a Lap Spay and has subsequently developed a suite of serious health issues.

 

It started a few days after returning from surgery when instead of getting better, she began to get more lethargic, stopped eating, and developed a fever.

 

After two rounds of vet visits, lots of tests, a dozen or so meds and two weeks, her health continues to decline.

 

On Dec 21st the attending vets admitted they were out of their depth and I brought her to a specialist in internal medicine. More tests, more drugs, and hospitalization ensued.

 

As it stands now, Dolly has pneumonia and a mammary gland infection to go along with a serious fever that resists treatment from a suite of powerful antibiotics.

 

Next steps are a mystery at the moment but there’s an array of new and more spendy tests on the way.

 

We miss our rambunctious and loving girl so much - especially as this comes on the heels of Jackson passing on Dec 4th.
