Grace Fulcher, 18 years old, was diagnosed at the age of 16 with anaplastic astrocytoma, an extremely rare form of brain cancer that affects an estimated five out of every 100,000 people, most of them adults. Despite being hospitalized for six weeks in Birmingham, Alabama, Grace graduated from Niceville High School summa cum laude with a 4.4 GPA. Grace was planning to attend Florida State University when doctors found a new progression of her tumor in a different part of her brain. To stay closer to her family, Grace started attending Northwest Florida State College on a two-year scholarship while receiving chemotherapy. Currently, Grace’s tumors have progressed.
Grace’s Father, Nathan, retired as a Captain from the USAF. He continues to serve the military by working as a surgical nurse at Eglin AFB. Grace’s Mother, Fran, is an online college instructor, and a devoted Mother and Wife. Grace has one sibling, 12-year-old Maxx, who is an avid cook. Grace is a remarkably soft-spoken humble young lady of unwavering faith.
The definition of Grace from oxford dictionary; smoothness and elegance of movement, courteous, good will, the free and unmerited favour of God.
It is inconceivable to have a family member in Grace’s situation, especially that of a child. We hope to help relieve some of the financial stressors placed on her family during this time. By extending grace towards this family, it would assist them in lessening any burdens while they spend precious time serving Grace and her needs. Any amount you could donate to support this family in this unimaginable time would be greatly appreciated.
