Dad’s Pancreatic Cancer

Hi, we are Amanda and Rebecca, and our dad Keith has been fighting pancreatic cancer since January of this year. As I type this, I am in a cancer patient guest house with my dad in Wisconsin. He has traveled to Wisconsin from his home in Arizona for the best doctors and hospital care, and has been here weeks now. We cannot afford to pay for a hotel every single day for him, us, and other family to stay in. Due to the medicinal options being trials and studies at this point, insurance is NOT covering it. He had a pretty big surgery back in June to remove his pancreas, spleen, and part of his small intestine. Now, his cancer has spread to other parts of his abdomen and is stage 4. Normal cells replicate 1:1, my dads cancer is spreading fast and replicating 1:5. His cancer markers are sky rocketing, and is in pain everyday. Hotels for my family are simply too expensive. Last minute flights for my dad to fly back home to Arizona and back to his doctors in Wisconsin with a days notice is too expensive. Medical bills are way too expensive. My dad has needed to dish out thousands and thousands from all of this, and it is SO much for someone to have to pay on top of everything he is going through. We cannot afford all of this but we are doing everything we can, whatever it takes. Pancreatic cancer is the most lethal form. We are all terrified of everything that’s been unfolding these past few months, as we were all extremely blindsided by this. Cancer sucks. My dad is the strongest person we’ve ever known. Please, if you can, donate to help my family and my dad be able to cover these things we are in huge need of. We are trying to do everything we can to help lessen the load for our dad. It’s almost our dads 60th birthday and we’d love to show him this once it’s completed. (He doesn’t know we’re raising money for him right now so it will be a wonderful relief.) Thank you all so much!
