Save the dogs in Palestine
Donation protected
The Bethlehem shelter remains under constant threat of closure by the municipal authorities. We have been under this threat since December 2018. We do everything possible, and more to save dogs, cats and animals, to rescue them from abuse, poisoning, shooting and find them good homes. Up till now we have rescued over 4500 dogs and 650 cats.
The Bethlehem Animal Shelter is the first and ONLY animal shelter in the West Bank and the services we provide are absolutely vital for the welfare of these stray animals.
Your financial help can make our dream a reality. We need money, 35,000 to buy the plot and build the facility.
There is a growing population of stray dogs and cats in the West Bank, and we are working towards keeping the population down by spaying and neutering, which is a humane and ethical option compared to poisoning and shooting. The second is a popular, yet inefficient and cruel way of trying to solve this issue. However, the authorities continue to use these methods, because it is less costly, compared to spaying and neutering and feeding the animals.
Part of our work includes trying to find new homes for our rescues, spaying/neutering, providing vaccines, microchip, feeding and surgeries for hurt and abused animals. In addition to this, we also try to raise awareness about animal welfare and why it is important.
One of the ways we do this is by visiting school and educating the children about animal welfare and the environment. This is in hope that the coming generations will accept and respect life in all forms, with equal rights and this way of thinking will create a better life for both humans and animals.
We rely solely on donations and are asking for your help to give a better life for the dogs and cats we care for.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
