Mason’s Surgery
Donation protected
Hello everyone, that’s my handsome little newphew Mason. When he turned 2 months old, he was diagnosed with a rare congenital condition called Craniosynostosis. Craniosynostosis is when the sutures of the infants skull close prematurely causing the skull to grow abnormally. Not only does it grow abnormally it can also cause increased pressure in the brain, which can lead to vision problems, headaches, developmental delays, & seizures if left untreated. Mason has synostosis of the saggital suture which is the suture running down the middle of the head. This causes a long narrowing appearance of the skull. Mason’s case is an isolated case not related to any syndromes & Mason is advancing in all milestones. The only way to fix this condition is a major surgical procedure. Mason will undergo surgery on April 4th. The surgery takes half of the day and requires a 3-4 day stay in the hospital. Any amount donated will be appreciated. Prayers are always appreciated. Thank you & God bless.
