Hay for Rescue Horses
Donation protected
BC is suffering a serious hay shortage. Money is urgently needed to purchase hay, before no hay can be found!
BC Horse Angels has saved and rehabilitated hundreds of slaughter-bound and neglected horses. So far in 2018, we have placed over 50 horses in safe, responsible homes. We currently have 30 rescue horses in our care.
Normally hay is purchased as needed, but with the hay crisis we need to buy a few month’s worth of hay ahead of time before it’s too late to find hay.
Our monthly hay costs are $4000-$5000. We can’t afford to purchase six month’s worth of hay all at once to get through to the next growing season. We’ve located some sources of good hay but need funds to buy large volumes now.
If you can spare $5 to buy a bale of hay for our horses, we would be very grateful for your help! A little bit from a lot of people will go a long way, and allow us to continue to help BC horses find happy new homes in the future, rather than dying in terror and panic in a kill box to supply Canada’s inhumane horse slaughter for human consumption industry.
Thank you in advance!
