Support for Joshua Colt's Funeral

On June 5th 2024, my family suffered the devastating loss of someone incredibly special, Joshua Colt Pickering, just 27 years young.

Born on September 3rd, 1996, in Jacksonville, Florida, Joshua Colt—affectionately known to the family as Coltboy since he was a baby—was (and remains) the cherished heartbeat of his devoted mother, Misti. Colt grew into an extraordinary man with a generous heart, a daring spirit, and a sharp sense of humor. He was a dedicated worker with a desire to help others and a dreamer with big aspirations. His kindness extended to animals, many of which he rescued, and to the countless friends and family he deeply cherished.

Among the many friends and family that Colt leaves behind is his beloved young daughter, Felicity. Everyone who had the privilege of knowing Colt loved him dearly, knowing him first and foremost as a good man with a good heart. Despite his many wonderful qualities, however, Colt battled inner demons that ultimately took him from us through overdose.

This fundraiser is organized by Colt's Aunt on behalf of his mother, Misti, to help alleviate some of the financial hardship during this devastating time. Every donation will go directly toward funeral expenses, including the viewing, cremation, and urn. Any remaining funds will support his daughter and assist with bills, allowing Misti the time to grieve and provide her only child with a dignified celebration of life.
