One Woman Walk for Our Homeless

Can you imagine endlessly wondering, with no place to go, unwanted anywhere you stopped? This is a daily reality for our homeless population. Negative stigmas and lack of support from the community has left too many of our vulnerable people on without basic necessities. So I wanted to do something about it. On Oct. 10, I am going to walk for 24 hours straight to raise awareness for the members of our community that don't have a place to call home. I will start at 11am and walk around Lethbridge until 11am the next morning, no stopping (apart from a couple bathroom breaks). I will be recording my experience too. My goal is to raise $2400.00 for the Lethbridge Shelter (which is part of the Calgary Alpha House Society) with my walk. That will be $100.00 for every hour I walk.
