Orthodontist care

My daughter Josie has been refused NHS orthodontic care by 4 different dentists in Lincolnshire. She has been waiting for a referral for nearly 3 years and has been told that because the work needed is classed as cosmetic that we need to go private. Due to being made to wait the overcrowding in her mouth has become gradually worse and will continue to worsen. She now needs extensive work that will costs thousands. She rarely gives a full smile as she is so self conscious about her teeth, and we just want to see her confident smile return. We also want to make people aware that more and more families are having to send their children to private practices because there is no funding available. Many families like ours are being put in to a difficult situation that shouldn't even exist.
