LIFE SAVING SURGERY

Hello everyone! Thank you for visiting this page. My dog, Hansel (Hans for short) is a 13 year old dachshund that we have had since he was 8-12 weeks old. Over the past few months, we discovered that one of his enzymes were elevated. Upon doing an abdominal ultrasound, we found out that his gall bladder was very enlarged with a lot of abnormal material in it. He was put on medication to lower the enzymes and to help break down the “sludge” found in the gall bladder.
One month later, his enzymes went down, but his gall bladder had grown. We were recommended to do a consult with an internal medicine specialist. Hans will need to have life saving gall bladder removal surgery. Right now, he is at risk for his gall bladder becoming obstructed and rupturing which would be fatal, so time is of the essence. He will also be undergoing a rectal polyp removal surgery at the same time as he has been straining to have a bowel movement and had a rectal prolapse (rectal tissue came out of his body) at the beginning of January due to his straining.
We understand that a lot of people are struggling right now. If you are able, please help us to raise money for his surgery AND SHARE THIS FUNDRAISER. He is part of our family, and we want to avoid euthanasia and give him the best quality of life possible. ANY amount helps, no amount is too small! We appreciate anything you can contribute.
