Support Matthew’s Recovery Journey

Matthew Serr, has been employed as an arborist for two years now. Unfortunately, due to a freak accident on a job site in January, he was rushed to one hospital before being flown to another.

 Due to his fall of roughly fifty feet, he had shattered a vertebrae in his back, broken the left side of his pelvis as well as his right foot leaving him to undergo hours of surgery. Along with a concussion, fractured ribs and sternum. We also just recently (Mid-March) found out he has a herniated disc in his neck that doctors want to operate on and he will also need another surgery on his right foot as the first one didn’t fix everything.

Once medically stable, he began rigorous physical therapy every day, multiple times a day and may be continuing his physical therapy at a rehab center in Illinois.

His fiancée Alexis has been by his side since the accident, foregoing work to stay at the hospital with him to assist in his care and comfort.
