Last night we lost Cortland Arthur Johnson, a Navy Veteran, a friend to many and our beloved family member. He has left us to be with his daughter Jennifer in heaven.
His wife Nancy has survived cancer time and time again and continues to fight that monster now. They have lived in the Oakhurst area since the early 90's. Their 50th wedding anniversary was November 1st. Cortland turned 81 in August.
You may have seen Cortland and Nancy at craft shows selling their Alpaca products and over the years Cortland was an actor at the Golden Chain Theater. He was a member of the local Lions Club and a previous Kiwanis Club member.
Cortland has been in and out of the hospital for the last month dealing with pneumonia and a myriad of newly discovered illnesses.
Because of his unexpected passing and the expenses incurred over the last month, the family is financially crippled and unable to cover any of the urgently required expenses that unfortunately come with the sudden death of a loved one.
