Help Me Volunteer in Ghana
Donation protected
As many of you know, I have taken a gap year in order to better prepare myself and save money before starting college at the University of Virginia this fall. After eight months of working, I have decided to expand my horizons and do a volunteer service work program at an orphanage in Ghana for six weeks, beginning May 1, 2014. Through this project I will be a teacher, mentor, and caregiver to these beautiful children.
Though International Volunteer Head Quarters (IVHQ) is less expensive than many other volunteer opportunities I considered, there are still significant expenses that I must cover. Your contributions will help pay for air fare, in-country travel expenses, accommodations prior to arriving at the orphanage, and a modest fee for room and board while I am there. In the event that these contributions actually exceed my goal, any additional funds will be donated to the orphanage. I thank you all for your support, and the difference it will help make in these children’s lives.
