Help Judy’s family from a war zone

Hi, my name is Sojood, Judy for short.

I am a 23 year old young Palestinian woman who used to live in north Gaza.

In October, 2023, my life had taken a turn for the worst. My house was

bombed five months ago, and my family and I have no access to food, running

water, clothes, or shelter. We could die any second now (may God protect us all). I pray we can evacuate to safety.

I need your support during this crisis unfolding in Gaza.

Every donation, no matter how small, could help us survive and rebuild

our lives. Any funds I receive will be used for us to escape the war, and the rest will go towards food and shelter. Each donation will be much appreciated, alongside sharing it with others who care to make a change.

My name is Diaa Nimer, and I'm trying to help my friend and her family to escape the war zone in Rafah.

I’ve known Judy for a long time now. She is intelligent and kind, and has always

worked and studied hard despite her circumstances. She had a bright future ahead of her.

Due to the war, she is going through immense suffering. I am making this

fundraiser to try and help her and her family escape to Egypt.

She asked me to share her story:

My name is Sojood, Judy for short.

I am a 23 year old young Palestinian woman who used to live in north Gaza. All my life, I have been waiting for the occupation to end. Unfortunately, the war in Gaza made everything worse. There are ongoing attacks, mass deaths, sickness, starvation, and destruction everywhere. I have always tried to do good by the people around me. I studied hard, and this was supposed to be my last year in college. I was the top ranked student in Civil Engineering, then my university was bombed. Now all that is left are ruins.

Since the war, my family and I have been on the run with no access to food,

running water, clothes, or shelter. Due to minimal access to electricity and internet, communication is poor. Occasionally, I get a chance to send out messages to my loved

ones to inform them that I am still alive.

The city I was born in, grew up in, and was displaced from in Gaza had been

invaded and destroyed. I don't know what's going to happen to me or my family. We could die any second now (may God protect us all).

All my dreams were shattered one by one after October, 2023. My house was bombed five months ago. All my favorite places and belongings were burnt right before my eyes. I have nothing left in this city but memories.

I wish to evacuate to safety with my loved ones before something happens to us.

I will always try to proceed with helping people and chasing my dreams as much as I can.

I need your support during this crisis unfolding in Gaza.

My family includes:

● My parents, who are 60 years old and are struggling to cope with the chaos of

war and the losses they have experienced.

● My big sister is 28 years old. She couldn't continue her ph.D program or job and is stuck in Gaza.

● And little my brother, who’s only 19 years old and has already been through so much that it crushes my heart; he has not yet graduated or lived his adult life yet.

Our future is unknown.

I am asking for your help out of dire and extreme need. Every donation, no matter how small, could help us survive and rebuild our lives. Any funds I receive will be used for us to escape the war, and the rest will go towards food and shelter. After we reach our goal, the money will be transferred to their family in Egypt.

From there, they can pay the traveling agency to put their name on the list to evacuate from Gaza. From that point on, they will recover and rebuild their lives.

The money will be used as such:

● 25,000 for crossing the border.

● 10,000 for rent, food and water, and other necessities in Egypt.

● 2,000 for gofundme fees, and 6000 for international bank transfer fees.

● If there's money left, they will use it to help more of their relatives and try to

escape with their nieces.

أنا فتاة فلسطينية أبلغ من العمر ٢٣ عاماً، اعتدت العيش في شمال غزة.

في أكتوبر ٢٠٢٣، أخذت حياتي منعطفاً نحو الأسوأ. حيث تم قصف منزلي القابع في شمال غزة قبل نحو خمسة أشهر، والآن لم نتكمن أنا وعائلتي من الحصول على الطعام أو المياه الجارية أو الملابس أو المأوى.
