Johns Journey

Donation protected
This is John.
He is a husband, son, brother, uncle, friend & now adds “Fighter” to the list.
About 2 ½ years ago, John began his journey of doctors visits, cat scans, MRI’s, colonoscopies & testing, first being given a diagnosis of pancreatitis then adding Crohns Disease & Diverticulitis to that diagnosis. These issues culminated a few weeks ago when he was hospitalized for eight days with jaundice, leading to the discovery of a 4” mass on his pancreas. This mass caused a major blockage of his bile duct and he has had a couple surgeries to address it, ending with a permanent stent being placed to allow for normal function, until we have more answers. Those questions will hopefully be answered in the coming days and weeks as he undergoes more biopsies, testing and procedures at Moffet Cancer Center in Tampa.
While John recovers from the hospital, there is a lot of uncertainty ahead. John is a new husband to his wife Charlotte, having just married last year. Charlotte has been so supportive while working and going to school, making her way towards a future career, while helping her new husband try to manage his health. John has spent the last 15 years working at a job he loves and that loves him right back, all while being sick for the last few years.
In September 2022, Hurricane Ian devastated the Florida coast, causing extensive damage to his hotel, leading to he and hundreds of other being laid off. Due to his health issues, he was able to receive short term disability until February of 2023. His employer is slated to re-open at the end of July but there is not certainity that he will be able to return yet. There will be more visits to Tampa, more tests, more hospitals, likely more surgery. Every visit means time away from normal life for both John & Charlotte. Every visit will mean gas, hotels and medical expenses. Time away will always mean there is more going out than coming in.
Please help us, help John in his time of need. To help his wife be with him every step of the way. To help us offer all the support and love that we can.
Any and all donations, shares, words of encouragement, prayers and good vibes will be welcome and much appreciated. Our family thanks you.
Much Love & God bless
