Educational Experience in Ireland
UPDATE: Thanks for everyone who donated so far! I've been working this summer to continue to pay off my transforming experience in Ireland but I could still use your help. I only have $500 left to pay off but I start school soon and I ahve to pull money together for textbooks and school supplie. If anyone can still donate I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks
Chastity
I want to be a grief counselor when I am out of college, the reason being is that I lost my mom when I was three. My grandmother raised me and between her and my guidance counselor in Elementary School I adjusted really well. I want to be able to pass that level of peace onto other. Currently my college is offering a class that focuses on Conflict, Trauma and Reconciliation this spring and summer. While the class focuses on the the "Troubles" of Northern Ireland I believe the class will help me to better understand psychological scars that can cause grief and how grief can be reconciled through understanding the conflict and trauma that caused it. The class includes perspectives of the "Troubles" through Education, Peace & Conflict studies and Psychology. I have saved $1,400 out of the needed $3,5000 and am hoping through GoFundMe.com I can raise at least part of the balance. Thank you for your support in furthering my education so one day I can help those who deal with the loss of a loved one.
