Farm for Kasese Humanist School

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

• The project aims at rearing chicken at Kasese Humanist School at the Rukoki campus on a free range. The chicken will feed themselves supplemented with maize brand and food leftovers from the school kitchen, the vast vegetation and insects within the school fence.

•Among the procured chicken, we shall include the cocks to mate with the hens and we shall generate eggs and chicks.

•Some eggs will be fed to the children once in a while, others sold and some hatched to generate chicks which will later grow into hens and cocks.
•Mature chickens will be sold to generate an income to the school and once in a while fed to the teachers and children at specific occasions.

PROJECT BENEFICIARIES:

•Teachers at the school.
•Children who study at our Rukoki campus.
•The school management
•Community of Rukoki and Kasese as a whole.

PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION:

The project will be managed by the School Administration and overseen by the teachers.
