The Loss of Cst. Sarah Beckett
In light of the terrible accident today at Goldstream and Peatt Road in Langford, a RCMP officer (Cst. Sarah Beckett) was struck by a large pick-up truck and has since succumbed to her injuries. Cst. Beckett leaves behind two small children and a husband.
Three local car clubs are raising money towards helping Cst. Beckett's family in this very tough time. The car community in Victoria is very small. At times like these we need to help support the loved ones of those who have fallen protecting our streets. We as Victoria car clubs, do not personally know Cst. Beckett and her family.
Once this campaign has come to a close, we will be handing over the all of the donations to Westshore RCMP detachment.
This message has been brought to you by NvUS’ Victoria Chapter and Team Defiance’s 250 Chapter and the Vancouver Island Subaru Club.
*** On April 17th, 2016 we will be hosting a BBQ to fundraise for more donations. This will be held at Fountain Tire in Langford, B.C.
