I rescued Gru just over a year ago.
He was abused then abandoned at which point he was left to starve. What we didn't know is that at some point he was also shot.
The metal that remained in his body shifted into his lung and caused a major infection. He is an otherwise healthy and strong boy. So far they have removed nearly 2 litres of infected blood and fluid. They are confident he will recover however he will still be required to stay in emergency.
The estimate they gave me for 5 days was already used in 2 and the costs are growing and we are struggling to cover them. He is a wonderful dog and has already fought through so much. Please help Mr. Gru win what will hopefully be his last fight.
This dog has taught me so much about life. He is still so happy and loving despite all of the wrong that was done to him.
Everyone could stand to be a little bit more like Gru in this world.
