Hit and Run Motorcycle Accident

Hello all, my name is Brent Ogburn, I am Brandy Vogels roommate, and I am creating this because Brandy is a good friend of mine and was in a pretty devastating hit and run accident on 10-30-2022 while just trying to enjoy her favorite time of year and bring joy to the people who saw her expressing her love for the Halloween season.

It all happened within seconds and there was little to nothing defensive she could do as the vehicle barreled down an off ramp from the highway and continued into the intersection when the light had turned red a few seconds prior. As her light turned green she was entering the intersection when the car cut her off and caused her bike to collide with the driver side doors sending her into the air, all while the driver didn't even think once about stopping as they continued on their way not even touching the brakes.

We are currently working to try to get at least a license plate photo of the car to report to the police to hold this person accountable for the inhumanity they showed that night. The case is still open with JSO but we do have video footage of the ride from the other riders perspective.

She currently has a shattered nose (pending surgery) and is dealing with severe pain and aches. Walking is difficult and she's taking it slow one day at a time to regain her strength and start having a normal life again.

I know times are tough for a lot of people and holidays are coming up soon for people. I'm just attempting to help a great person through her tough times because she's not the type of person to ask for help. I know she will appreciate everyone and I will update as I can along the way.
