The Meeks Family

We are saying "See You Later" to someone that never knew a stranger. James Brandon Meeks, better known to everyone as Brandon, was a husband, father, brother, and a friend to everyone. He would have celebrated his 33rd birthday today July 21st but instead, his family is suddenly and unexpectedly making arrangements for his funeral.

Due to a recent sickness and ongoing struggles with Type 1 Diabetes, his wife Samantha Meeks must find a way to lay him to rest and carry on with the financial burden alone as she will have to raise their 9 year old son and 5 year old daughter without her husband. Brandon often worked multiple jobs, long hours and extreme conditions to provide for his family and to accommodate his necessary medical costs. He did it without complaint. He wanted to give. Maybe you know this family or are only just learning of them through a friend,  but you should know that this is a true tragedy and unfortunate reality that no one was prepared for.

If Brandon could do anything to help another, or even attempt in hopes that it would help, he wouldn't let you talk him out of it! He gave a hug because he genuinely wanted to hug those he loved and let you know he loved you. His heart was true and felt whenever you spent time or spoke with him. He had a type of charity that is rare.

Now he needs us to express that type of love and service to his wife and children. The loss of their husband and father is too great to imagine but I know that any financial assistance we provide can help them focus on the emotional healing necessary to rebuild after such heartache.

Since it was so sudden with no preparations in place, it's hard to place a goal on what we need to raise. Any and every penny, every share on your page, will go towards laying Brandon to rest and giving Sam some means to move forward with their children, Braydon and Maci.
