In Loving Memory of Gregorio “Jake” Santos

Two of my very close friends, Jellie Kim and Gem Houy, lost their father earlier this week.

About 18 years ago, their father miraculously fought and beat stage 4 colon cancer. Unfortunately, a few months ago, he was struck with stage 4 lung cancer. His loving family did everything they could to get him the help he needed. He fought really hard again and hung in there for as long as he could. Though he received great care, his body succumbed to this horrible illness on the morning of 12/3/24, with his family by his side.

He is survived by his amazing wife (Norma Santos), three wonderful children (Gian, Gem, Jellie), and eight beautiful grandchildren. His family will always remember his infectious smile, the joy he found in telling stories, how much he enjoyed traveling the world, and the endless love he had for all of his family.

In helping honor the life of my friends’ father and to support them during this difficult time, it would be tremendously helpful if some funds can be raised to help with funeral expenses, no matter how much.
