DIY SOS

Hi everyone!!

Firstly thanks for checking out our page and seeing that you are here you must in some way be connected to Sam so happy days!!

For the people who don't know last year Sam was diagnosed with bowel cancer. He under took intesive chemotheraphy for three months followed by a dose of radiotherapy and then an operation to remove the tumour. It was a gruelling twelve months and is by far completely over.

Due to Sams illness he hasn't been able to work for nearly a year and being self employed hasn't bought any income into the house for the whole time. With another operation around the corner plus another three to four months recovery time he is unable to even start to look for work.

So,,, with this page I'm hoping to raise funds to help get Sam and Heathers house up together. A few of you have asked me about helping them out so I just thought this might be the easiest way.

If you haven't been to their house it's a tad cosy, especially with two young boys. Apart from being cosy the house is in need of some pretty desperate repairs. With Sam not being able to do anything physical and Heather being flatout with work and the boys, starting any repair work is pretty much impossible.

Going through what they have this last year is stressful enough. With desperate repairs looming over their heads and without the money or capability to put things right is dragging the whole family down.

With your help I'd like to chip away at a few things to help them out. We've got some shady characters to help out with the labour, so now all we need is a bit of cash to buy the materials.

Here's what we got to do,

1, Re-render the rear of the house which is blown.

2, Clear the garden.

3, Level the garden and fit some decking/paving.

4, Rebuild adjoining wall.

5, Install power and lighting.

6, Build a small lean to for storage (free some space up in the house).

7, Rebuild chimney.

8, Repair leaks in roof.
