Apartment Fire
Donation protected
On December 29, 2019, we were spending time with our family in Maryland. We had planned to go home to our apartment in Parsippany, New Jersey that evening, as Eric had to return to work the next morning. That plan changed drastically with a series of phone calls from the Morris County Police Department. They told us that there had been a major fire in the apartment below ours, and our apartment was severely damaged as a result. While we are extremely grateful that we were not there and our family is safe, we have lost several necessities that will need replacing, and we will also need to pay for repairs for the things that were in our home at the time of the fire. We will be moved into a new apartment soon, but have no furnishings, food, medications, or other necessities. We will have to pay to clean and replace what we have left. We had no renter's insurance to aid with the costs of cleanups and replacements. In addition to that, we are currently expecting a child in August, and now lack the financial stability we need to prepare for our child. Please help if you can.
