Cassandra's College Fund

Cassandra is a freshman at Dominican University of California. She started in the fall of 2013 on 75% grants and scholarships. The rest was on a payment plan for her mother to make monthly. Then her mother lost her job and is living on unemployment. The school says if her balance for the spring semester ($7,318.00) isn't paid by Feb. 2, she will have to pack her bags and return home. Cassandra is a Psychology major, with an emphasis on children, a cheerleader at the school and works a part-time job as part of her work study. She was accepted to this prestigious school because of her GPA, SAT scores, accelerated classes in high school, her volunteer work in her home-town community and her community service as Miss Yucca Valley Third Princess. She did everything she was supposed to do to get into a good college, as she is dedicated to her education. But, unfortunately, life circumstances have thrown a huge road block for her. Please help Cassandra stay in San Rafael, California at Dominican University of California! Education is expensive, but so is ignorance.
