Hi, I am a neighbor of Ms. Angie but for privacy reasons I do not wish to disclose my identity. I do not want any attention from this. My sole purpose here is to help the children of a fallen front-line worker, who was a caring loving mother who was also an extraordinary neighbor. I have spoken with her daughter Samantha and she is listed as the Gofundme organizer/beneficiary .
Ms. Angie was a medical worker working in NYC, the Epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic. She worked at Dr. Susan Smith McKinney Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center. On March 12th, after completing a grueling 16 hour work shift she fell ill. A week later, she was admitted to the Kings County intensive care unit and she received the news which every frontline worker facing this pandemic dreads to hear. Ms. Angie had tested positive for the same virus she tirelessly spent days and nights assisting patients to combat. Sadly, she succumbed to the virus two weeks later. To paint the picture of how devastating this has been for her children, Ms. Angie was taken to the emergency room on March 20th the children were advised on March 31 that Ms.Angie went into cardiac arrest and they were unable to resuscitate her. she had passed later that day. It was as if their mother had disappeared off the face of the earth with no trace or final goodbyes.

Ms. Angie was an extremely hard working woman, often picking up extra shifts and working part time with her delicious catering business. She was very independent and always wore a bright smile.
