Help Amanda get back on her feet

Hi, my name is Brittany Bartholomew and on December 3rd my best friend Amanda fell with her baby in her arms and fractured both her legs in different places. She fractured her right ankle and has a depressed lateral tibial plateau fracture in her left leg. The baby is okay because of the way she fell to keep the baby safe but she’s now in for a long recovery. She can’t walk, drive, work etc. She will need full time care of her children as she won’t even be able to hold them. She has three children in which two of them are babies, a 1 year old son and a 5 month old son. She will be out of work and need medical equipment that insurance may not provide. I’m asking for anybody who is able to donate to help Amanda and her family get through the next couple of months. All funds will go directly to child care/home care for her first as that needs to be first priority and from there to help with any medical expenses.

If she didn’t have small children the surgeon wanted to place her into a PT inpatient rehab for a few weeks due to the type of fracture in her leg, if it moves at all it can lead to a difficult surgery in the next couple weeks. But she is a nursing mom and the baby refuses to take a bottle and she needs to be available to feed him so she will be doing PT from home and try her best to stay off the leg. She’s is a tough situation right before the holidays. She also just returned back to work after having her youngest son (she is a tech at the hospital) and was working per diem and adding hours on for OT to fund Christmas for her children as the hospital was giving incentives for any medical staff working OT, so now that’s out the window also.
