Support Bryan's Road to Recovery
Hi, my name is Dean Eidel and I'm raising money for my oldest son Bryan.
On Saturday 4/20/24, Bryan was leaving work to go home on an electrical scooter and was in an accident. At this point in the journey, we don't have all the answers as to what caused the wreck. A bystander found him and called 911. From there, he was taken to Vanderbilt hospital where he underwent emergency brain surgery . He also has facial fractures, several fractured ribs, cuts and bruises.
Currently, he is sedated in the trauma center. They consistently wake him to see if he can follow simple commands such as giving a thumbs up, wiggling your toes, etc. He does follow the commands periodically, but not consistently yet. He is still struggling upon wake up and after a few minutes they need to return him to sedation.
We know we are undergoing a long road to recovery. We will not know the extent of his injuries nor a timeline to his healing until he can stay awake.
Bryan held two jobs and is very well loved and already missed greatly by his coworkers. We are raising funds to be used for his medical expenses but also to cover his regular monthly bills that will occur while he is out of work. I have raised the amount we first started as a goal due to his insurance is wanting to send him to a nursing home because he had some issues with his heart and his brain injury he wasn't getting 3hr a day therapy in. Now that they have adjusted his shunt and his heart medication he is much more awake, he is also responding to his therapy a lot more, we want the best for Bryan and for his recovery and I Pray God will bless
