Help Chris Overcome Cancer

Chris, our dear cousin and brother has been a very hard working individual his whole life, devoting his time in the construction industry as a self -employed contractor/carpenter. He has always taken great pride in what he builds and was always “doing it right” before it ever became a catch phrase. He is very creative and our entire family has benefited from his skill set at some point.
Unfortunately, very early this year he was diagnosed with a very rare form of blood cancer, specifically “atypical CML” (chronic myeloid leukemia) .This situation has left him unable to work, and he is constantly fatigued as a result. The cancer has progressed since the initial diagnosis and thus as a result, he must undergo a one week intensive radiation and chemotherapy followed by a very risky stem cell transplant that will be extremely taxing on his system. Following this procedure, he will require 24/7 care for at least a 2 month period downtown requiring him to pay for lodging for himself and a caregiver. He will also require close care for up to 2 more years with many trips to the hospital.
In order to give him the best chance of success and help him become as strong as possible prior to the operation, we are sending him for a 3 week Comprehensive Cancer Wellness Program at the Hippocrates Health Institute in Florida. There are many costs involved with the program including flight and the care after the procedure.
