Moving….

Hi, I am Stephanie. I’m doing this because I need to utilize every resource possible. Which in addition to everything else I’m doing, asking for help from others. I’m being asked to leave my home because I can longer afford the rent. And in May they’re raising it again. Since I lost my car last January I missed a lot of work at my second job. Which I no longer have now because I don’t have the transportation. So I got behind on my rent. They were working with me over the past year and as of January I was up-to-date but now I am past due for February. I’ve run out of money to be able to afford this place any longer.

So that’s my story. Now going forward I have to move and I don’t have much time. I would love to not have an eviction on my record, but I don’t think I could do something that fast. I don’t have any money saved because my rent was up-to-date as of January. So I cannot afford first months rent, deposit, hiring somebody to help me move and a rental truck to leave here. I am still without a car, which makes everything more difficult. So what I’m asking for is to be able to get out of here and into another place. I am looking for a place close to businesses and a bus line where I can get a second job that I don’t need a car for. I’m looking at low income housing or any kind of government assistance because apparently I fall in the low income bracket, which is sad when you’re working a full-time job making more than minimum wage.

And finally, the most important thing to me is not the furniture and things I own in my life. I’m not even worried about not having a place to live and being in a shelter. Although I would lose my job since I work from home. What I’m worried about is my pets. They are my family and I don’t want something bad to happen to them because it’s not their fault. I love them more than I can express. They are my peace. They’re what gets me through the day. They are what makes me want to get out of bed every morning. They are everything to me.
