Tim & Shannon's Griffin's Friends Challenge

Help Tim & Shannon reach their goal of $800! The mission of Griffin's Friends reads as follows..... "The goal of Griffin's Friends is simple and appealing: To bring moments of joy to courageous kids. This message conveys our aspiration for all of our efforts, whether event planning, fundraising, or Marathon running. We strive to ease the hardships of children in treatment for cancer and the families who love and support them." Tim & Shannon have chosen to participate in the Marathon Challenge because Tim was a pediatric cancer patient at Baystate Hospital. His survivorship inspired Shannon to run with him in supporting children who are battling cancer. On May 4, 2014, we will run the Walter Child's Memorial Race of Champions Marathon in Holyoke, MA as part of the Griffin's Friends team.

We are asking for your help in reaching this goal. If you would like to assist us, you can either mail us a check or we will gladly pick it up from you. All checks can be made out to Griffin's Friends. The organization is a tax-deductible non-profit and you can find more information from their official site below.

Additionally, we will keep you posted on our progress up through race day. We are currently 9 weeks into our marathon training which includes weekly long runs with the team. It has been an eye-opening experience thus far and hope you share this journey with us!
