God calls every Christian to build His Kingdom. Some, He calls to give their life for the Gospel. Others, He prospers, so they can support those who go. Paul and Nadya Rozhkov and Andrey Redkay, a local convert to Christianity with a deep knowledge of the land, have given up lives of comfort and abundance to preach the only message that can save the Chukchi people from sin.
The need for a satellite phone arose from a recent tragedy among the tiny missionary team: this September, Andrey set off with 2 other natives on a work-related expedition across the sea. They were never found.

Our hearts languish to the fact that our dear friend and brother Andrey is not found… he loved his people and did everything to reach them for Christ in Who he found his freedom from sin and his salvation. Andrey was our “navigator” in tundra and his most common words were: “lets go to that village, to that herd, my people are dying without knowing Christ as their Savior, we must hurry…”
Now – with relentless temperatures already as low as -12 degrees Fahrenheit, snow and ice the unforgiving reality, and no guide – Paul and Nadya are still pressing on to complete the journeys they had planned for this winter, to visit isolated villages with the Bread of Life and much-needed supplies.
A satellite phone can be the difference between rescue and death by the elements in the freezing tundra.
The most you can do is pray. And then, if this has touched your heart, please consider being one of the means God uses to answer your prayers.

Chukotka, with its population of about 50,540 people, has 2 Christian missionaries: Paul and Nadya Rozhkov. With only .7% of the population professing evangelical faith, the love of Christ constrains these believers to brace themselves against severe weather, government opposition, and harsh living conditions to bring the Gospel to the unreached people of Chukotka.
