Hi, my name is Felicia and I set up this GoFundMe for my brother's family. My brother Tyler was diagnosed with Primary Pulmonary Hypertension at the age of 4 and is now 29 years old. Tyler has experienced many medical complications throughout his life thus far. Doctors always told us that one day he would need a double lung transplant when his lungs would become too unhealthy to sustain him. The last year (starting in December of 2022) we knew Tyler's health had begun to decline and at that time we received news that it was time for Tyler to get listed on the lung transplant list. The process was started, and the rollercoaster sped up. Now here we are one year later and Tyler just received his double lung transplant on Monday, December 11th, 2023.

As I write this Tyler is officially 48 hours post his 10-hour-long transplant surgery. He is doing amazing so far, exceeding expectations! Tyler's wife, Kelly, has been able to decrease her work schedule to spend more time in and out of the hospital with Tyler in the past few weeks leading up to the transplant. Their beautiful daughter, Riley, has been back and forth between home with Mom, and here with me and my family. Both Kelly and Riley look forward to the day that Tyler can come home and stay home with them. We would like to help Kelly pay for the expenses of travel back and forth from home to Philadelphia to be with Tyler, as well as all of the costs they are starting to face post-transplant. When Tyler comes home from the hospital (estimated in 3-4 weeks) he will need 24/7 care and monitoring. This means that Kelly be his primary caregiver and my mom and I will be stepping in as often as we can to help and give Kelly breaks. In addition to Kelly not being able to be at work every day, Tyler will now be on a very strict diet including NEVER drinking tap water ever again. They are planning on buying 5-gallon containers of water to use for drinking, ice, and cooking and possibly purchasing a brand new water cooler for Tyler's water.

Tyler is an amazing father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and grandson. He loves deeply. He works hard to ensure everyone's needs are met, even when he isn't feeling good. We are all so thankful to have him and blessed for the life God has given him. Please help us in easing the financial burden on Tyler and Kelly by donating.
