Help Hannah Walk Again

Hi, my name is Lauren and I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my sister-in-law, Hannah.

 

Hannah is 20 years old and a newlywed who lives outside of Phoenix, AZ. Hannah and her husband, Quinn, are two extremely awesome and healthy people who love to hike and adventure together.

After having knee problems for a while, Hannah and Quinn decided to get her to a specialist and she went on to have surgery. Her recovery did not go as planned and instead of being able to have better feeling in her knee, after being married for just 8 weeks, Hannah was unable to walk.

As time went on, her pain increased. Hannah was experiencing burning pain in her leg and soon it spread to both legs. Shortly after, she was officially diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, or CRPS. Since then, the pain has moved to her arms, head, and neck. This pain causes muscle spasms, skin discoloration, and sensitivity to touch.

 

Hannah has tried multiple options: physical therapy, a nerve block, and has seen multiple different doctors. None have improved her pain, and have mostly increased her pain and caused great discouragement. The next step Hannah wants to take is non-invasive therapy. 

Hannah is hoping to try a therapy like at The Spero Clinic in Fayetteville, Arkansas (https://www.thesperoclinic.com/conditions/complex-regional-pain-syndrome/). Here, this team uses treatments like Vagus Nerve Stimulation, Neuromodulation, Lymphatic Therapy, and more to treat CRPS in non-invasive ways. Their clinic has had great success but has quite an extensive program - this involves a stay near their clinic for several weeks and treatment not covered by insurance. It is recommended to have around $50,000 to pay for this treatment.
