Hi my name is Victoria and i am fundraising for my son Ollie who was born June 2019 a healthy 8lb 6oz boy it wasn't until day 5 we noticed there was something wrong with him, he was in failure to thrive, 9 weeks back and forth to our local hospital fighting for further studies other than a reflux diagnosis we were transferred to the RBHSC where we would spend the next 9 month's, they found he had a malrotation of the bowel emergency surgically corrected Aug 2019 Oliver still wasn't out of the woods as he could not longer feed normally nor absorb all the goodness in his milk. He then got an NJ for feeding and a central line for TPN. He also had NEC 3 times aswell as internal bleeding to which he is on IV medication daily now. Oliver is now 3 and we still have no significant diagnosis, other than intestinal failure, gut dysmotility, chromosome deletion and malabsorption but no reason as to why he is like this. Oliver has been through numerous procedures for permanent feeding including a gastrostomy and jejunostomy to which he feeds over 16 hours daily and insertion of a broviac central line to give him TPN (total parenteral nutrition) over a 12 hour period also. Oliver got home in April 2020 with Jej feeds and TPN which mummy and daddy takes care of along with carers for him. We are now currently at GOSH for PIPO investigations where they have been carrying out the following studies; Anorectal manometry, Antroduodunal manometry, Colonic manometry, Gastroscopy, pH impedance study, enteroscopy, Small bowel transit study, as well as further genetic testing and immunology studies. Unfortunately Oliver took another internal bleed last Wednesday, and having to undergo another 5 procedures tomorrow his team have prolonged our stay in the worst case he would bleed again and to make sure he recovered well from all 5 procedures tomorrow. Not only this but he is also due to attend Sheffields children's hospital in the near future as a result of prolonged internal bleeding for over a year now. After alot of stress regarding the cost of everything , including flight changes, added accomdation, we decided to take friends and family advice on setting up a go fund me. Tonight we finally bit the bullet and done it to help with the cost of living in London and some well deserved treats for Oliver when he well enough.
