Beyond Borders

Our field team from the University of Indianapolis Archeology and Forensic Laboratory is returning to Falfurrias, Texas to continue the excavation of Sacred Heart Cemetery. We are working with Baylor University and Texas State University to exhume the remains of unidentified migrants in Southern Texas. Our human rights mission is to help exhume these individuals in order to begin the identification process in hopes of returning the remains to the individuals' families. Our efforts in Falfurrias are on a completely volunteer basis and we are hoping to raise money to support the travel and lodging costs for the students participating.
