Support Young Artists in Haiti

I'm a supporter of children and artists in Haiti. Their situation is miserable and they need our help urgently. My friend Getho Jean Baptiste, who is an artist in Port-au-Prince, started a project to support children and their familys in his art school. All funds will go directly to Getho's project.

Here is Getho Jean Baptiste in his own words:

"Born in Port au Prince in 1972. I learned to sculpt with the great "Found Objects" artist, Celeur Jean Hérard.

What pushed me to work in this genre was the atrocious and miserable poverty I have known since my adolescence. In 2016 Ricardo Angelo, an Australian painter introduced me to the world of Painting.

Children And Adults began to work with me in 2018 utilizing the following materials: pliers, hammers, metal and paintbrushes.

The main goals of the project are the following.

Obtain funds in order to support the students by purchasing materials such as art & school supplies as well as sponsoring a Food program.

Food scarcity is a huge problem.

For more than 50 days now the country has been paralyzed by a deep political crisis. The children's parents have not been able to work to support their families. Many have been displaced by violence and live in makeshift camps. We urgently need outside support.
