Pam Hightower and family
Donation protected
Pam was admitted to Methodist West (Katy) on November 27 with sepsis, on-going kidney problems and multiple bacterial infections. She has been battling for her life, in ICU, for nearly one month. Her adult children, Elissa and Eric, have dropped everything to be by her side as much as humanly possible and help her through this nightmare.
Elissa's husband, Ryan, and Eric's family have made countless sacrifices financially, emotionally and logistically over the past month as well, supporting Elissa, Eric and Pam through the various ups and downs of this unwanted and unprecedented journey.
The unexpected costs of supporting a loved one who is extremely ill (in an entirely different state from which they live) for this length of time continue to rise and are causing additional stress on top of the anxiety, fear and worry they're already trying to cope with. They have incurred travel costs (flights back and forth from Tulsa, OK multiple times, staying in a hotel near the hospital so they can shower, do laundry and take shifts sleeping in a bed while someone else stays by her side, eating out constantly since they're unable to take prepared food into the hospital, lost income due to unexpected time off of work, costs of boarding their animals, extra childcare, paying Pam's usual expenses to maintain her house, and the list goes on and on...)
Any financial contributions beyond the cost of their expenses will be put towards Pam's anticipated medical bills and helping her though her recovery.
