Sabrina's Road To Recovery

On Friday afternoon, I received a call telling me that my sister-in-law and one of my best friends, Sabrina, had been taken to the hospital in San Diego with chest pains and struggling to breathe. After the doctors ruled out a heart attack, they began running tests and discovered she has pancreatitis. Today,  tests revealed the tissue around her pancreas is neurotic and doctors moved her to the I.C.U. where she will stay likely for the next month or more recovering until it is safe for her to return home to Las Vegas. The road to recovery in the weeks and months to come will require many invasive endoscopic procedures and possible surgeries, and needless to say, the rising medical costs will be catastrophic for their family.
