Recovery and Support for Julie

Hello,

 

We have set up this Go fund me to help Julie recover. On April 20 Julie suffered a sudden stroke while alone at the salon. Amazingly one of the stylist's had returned for his lunch bag and due to his diligence in recognizing something was wrong he called for help and emergency services found Julie inside. Without this quick action we would have surely lost an amazing person.

 

Julie is currently in the hospital and working hard to recover so that she can return to the salon she works so hard to run. We are hopeful that with rehab she can regain the use of her left side and return to the salon and clients she dearly loves. Unfortunately the road to recovery will not be quick, and many struggles ahead. Adding to this there are medical costs to come and equipment that will be needed to help her function. 

 

I'll admit we don't know how much to ask for, we don't even have a full picture of the costs ahead. Family and friends are working to assist with costs but every bit helps. Below is some of the things we see coming up in the next few months that the money would help with:

 

- Medical equipment and rehab (canes, walkers, railings, anything needed to accelerate the rehab).

- costs of living as she is unable to work, although she is a business owner her main income was still from hair styling. (car payments, rent, insurance, utilities, food and any other basic living needs)

- living situation as she will now need an easy to access living space and support. (possible move, change in facilities)

- Headspace Salon, Julie has put her heart and soul into this business and the amazing people working there. Any additional funds would be used to help make sure the doors stay open and ready for her return. (utilities or extra professional services to ensure the doors remain open)
