Urafiki Project
Please help me in any way you can! No gift is too small!
My great friend Harrison and myself, along with our moms, will be traveling to Tanzania in July 2015 to spend two weeks volunteering for the Living Water Children's Center orphanage. This trip will only be possible if we all work together.
My name is Cody. I'm an 11 year old, home school boy from Richfield, Minnesota. My wonderful friend, Emily, traveled to Tanzania last year to volunteer at the Living Water Children's Center in Tanzania, Africa. She had such an amazing time meeting and playing with everyone. I can't wait to go meet all of these wonderful new friends; urafiki means "friendship" in Swahili!
I need your help. Please, donate whatever you're able to, and then pass the message along. If we all work together, this dream can come true!
Living Water Children Centre was established in 2003 after Anza Kimaro met a six year old living on the streets and shared the story with his family. They researched the sad facts and learned that there are over 1 million orphans in Tanzania due to the HIV/AIDS and the malaria pandemic. The Kimaro's home was renovated to welcome children into their home, and family income was used to ensure that children had food, medical care and other necessities. The Kimaro family started with two children in March 2003 and is currently serving over 50.
