Katie Farmer

I am doing this fundraiser for my cousin, Katie Farmer, and her family. Katie is 17 years old and a senior in high school. She enjoys spending her free time drag racing and baking cakes. On Sunday, September 25, 2022, Katie was in a horrific car accident while driving home. She was air lifted to Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs because of the severe trauma to her brain and she’s in a coma. She has undergone several major surgeries, with more coming over the next few months. Katie is currently in the ICU, where she will remain until she is stable enough to be moved to a different hospital wing. Unfortunately, she will have to stay in the hospital for 3 to 4 months before her next major surgery, which will most likely extend her hospital stay. On September 27, 2022, they started pulling her off sedation, and she could move her fingers slightly. I am doing this fundraiser to help her parents Danielle Carochi and Jeremy Farmer with some of the costs they face, including any bills, as well as money for food, gas, and to cover the expenses of staying out of town in Colorado Springs and Denver for months.
