Help Bring My Dad Home

Hi, my name is Christian, I'm making this fundraiser because, on December 4, 2021, the unimaginable happened to my family. My dad, the pillar of our family was in a horrible trucking accident. My dad had made sure to deliver his shipment on time and started the drive back home as soon as possible so that he could be home in time for the holidays. Unfortunately, he never made it back because on the drive back his semi flipped and caught fire as well. We still don't know what caused this accident but we do know that he suffered from a major head injury and his right foot was burned during the accident as well. Nobody else was hurt, thankfully. What's worse is that we were unaware of the accident until a day later. My family and I were at home waiting for his arrival, instead of him being the one at the front door; it was two officers coming to inform us of his accident that had taken place in Arkansas. That day our whole world fell apart, my dad has always been a strong and independent man that took pride in always taking care of his family, putting us first, and getting things done himself. He has always been a hard worker and whatever goal he would set himself up for he would reach, not only that but he is also kind and generous, never hesitant to help others if he could or offer to share the knowledge that he has obtained throughout his lifetime. He's always been a dreamer too, with one of his dreams coming true this year. My sister gave birth last month January 2022 to a beautiful baby girl that is also my dad's first grandchild. My other older brother is also expecting his first baby boy too that's due later this year, making that my dad's second grandchild. He was so happy that his dream of becoming a grandfather was finally coming true. He even wanted his grandchildren to call him by the same name that we called our grandfather (his dad) "papa viejo". He couldn't wait to meet them, all he did was talk about them and getting to spoil them. The months of December and January were supposed to be very happy months for my family and me. Instead, they have been the two hardest months of our lives, we didn't get to have a happy holiday season and my parents missed the birth of their first grandchild. My mom left on December 5, 2021, to Arkansas to be by my dad's side. She drove with my brother for 22 hours just to be with him. We were hoping that they'd be home by now but he's still in the hospital fighting to recover. He's constantly being monitored because of his head injury, he has a tube in his neck to help him breathe, and we're not sure if he'll ever be the same after this. But we miss him so much, him and my mom. Although we're doing our best to keep it together and hold a strong front, each day that passes gets a little bit harder to stay strong. The bills are beginning to pile up and we're not really sure how we're going to pay for all of his medical expenses. Like my dad, we are all very prideful and like to take care of things on our own but at this point, we could really use some help. Anything is appreciated thank you.
