Help For Thaddeus

Hi, I'm Stacy Cook and my friend Brandy Pack Walkowiak and I are asking for help for Thad. We are not doctors just concerned professionals living in our community. It appears that Thad may suffer from numerous conditions. Some of these appear to be chronic homelessness and other mental illnesses. He's 86 years old and even currently appears to have a dislocated elbow.

Thaddeus is homeless and has been living in one of his 3 broken vehicles beside a mechanic's shop in Belmont, North Carolina for years. The lot has been sold and he and his vehicles have been evicted from the property as of July 11th. The local police have filed a report with local protective services in Gaston County.

He was placed in a motel for a week but has since had all of his belongings stolen. He only lasted a day there before going back to his abandoned cars. He's very concerned about his vehicles as they are his only belongings.

Due to his life experience, Thad is not comfortable being around many people. He chooses to isolate. He has refused medical intervention up until now but currently has 2 Dr's appointments next week.

Michelle Sanders has offered to take Thad in and put a camper on her property. He is currently at her home but again prefers to be isolated. We have talked with the police department and they are comfortable with this solution although many of us had hoped for more. We have found a suitable camper and need help to pay for it. We are trying to raise money for the camper and incidentals such as pillows, towels, clothing etc. We will also gladly accept donations instead of money. Medium shirt, size 28 x 29 pants.

We are hoping and praying for the best for Thad, but these are his most immediate needs.
