Oreo vet surgery

Hello, my name is Helen; my family and I brought our little puppy Oreo back on Oct 21. We decided on getting a dog as we had moved house and I was around more and to get us healthy and out walking.We asked if there were any issues with him, they replied no; he was just like his brothers and sister, apart from smaller as he was the runt. We took him home, where he has become a huge part of the family. From day one, he was not very well; we took him to vets to hear he had a parasite caught from his mother. We treated him for a week, and he didn't get better. Our insurance had not started, so we carried on with the tests. We were told lots of things and have done lots of different diets.

We changed vets and had blood tests done as he was still not gaining weight for the results to come back to say he has a liver issue, which needs more tests done and possible surgery. Without the tests to confirm what the vet believes is a liver shunt, Oreo will only live for two years; we are heartbroken. We just want a healthy, happy boy. Our insurance won't cover this as the illness was they beforehand. We have thought long and hard about our decision and have now decided to try fundraising to come up with the funds.
