Getting Bree Back To Her Best Life

** We have been so overwhelmed by the love, support and prayers ❣ Aubrey's insurance will require $5,000 out of pocket over this year- it would be a dream to be able to get there! ** I am the big sister to a smart and adventurous woman who has recently been hit hard by ulcerative colitis. Aubrey's diagnosis was surprising but her recent flare up has us completely shaken. It started about the beginning of November and quickly worsened to the point that she doesn't have the strength to stand to shower or walk into her doctor's appointments. She has been bed ridden for 2 months, been in and out of the hospital constantly and relying on our mom and her boyfriend to take care of her. Shout out to mom for being there with her for the last 8 weeks ❣ Every attempt to fight this disease has been for not and Aubrey is now faced with a series of intrusive surgeries over the next 6 to 10 months to remove the affected area and reconstruct her bowels so that she can get back to living her best life as a wanderlust, nurse, activist, daughter and friend to so many. The idea of her pain coming to an end is amazing but we all know the cost of the copays, time off work, hospital stays, specialty drugs, etc. adds tremendous weight to any situation like this. I know she would love to help our mom as well, who has selflessly submerged herself in being Aubrey's full time caregiver for over 2 months now.
