Medical/living expenses for Cheryl

Donation protected
Dear Friend,

Ever since our long-time friend, Cheryl Lamkin, was misdiagnosed on lower leg troubles she was having, Cheryl has encountered immeasurable troubles. Cheryl first had to have her foot amputated due to blood clots, which were not caught in time. What is worse is that she's had infections and gangrene set in multiple times, resulting in more amputations all the way up to her knee. Not only has this profoundly affected Cheryl's quality of living, but she also needs several more operations she cannot afford. And because she lives in the rural town of Marengo, IL, her support system is limited, while government assistance has been slow-coming. Cheryl has a young child she's trying to raise, and an older child with autism who also needs her attention. Thus, we are throwing a benefit to help Cheryl with the mounting medical costs, which includes a fundraising drive.
This event, Cheryl's Benefit Extravaganza, will be held on April 5, 2014, at Mo Dailey's in Chicago. Our goal is to raise $15,000 to be used Cheryl's medical expenses including a prosthetic leg. We will accept anything donors are willing to give as no donation is too small. We truly appreciate anything you can contribute!

Gratefully,
